Construction Update – December 2025
The Horace Mann Additions and Renovations project is underway in the construction phase. Foundations and structure are complete. Exterior walls are nearly complete and are expected to be weather tight in the coming weeks. Interior wall framing and rough infrastructure is ongoing. Foundations are complete at the “link” section of the new structure off Nevada Street, with structural steel starting next month. Selective demo continues in the existing building at the stairs by the connector, allowing structural steel modifications to begin. Framing and rough-ins for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical are underway in the existing building and new building. Electrical and storm/sanitary infrastructure for permanent utility connections are ongoing.
